Description: Like hot potato but with a bear instead.

Materials Needed:
  • Bear
  • Music (we used the “Teddy Bear Picnic” song)
  • Stickers
  • Bear Worksheet
Step by Step Instructions: Have the children sit in a circle, start the music and have them pass the bear around, stop the music and whoever has the bear is “out” . We repeated until only one child was left. Each child as they got “out” was given a sticker and we had a bear worksheet for them to do while they waited for a new game to start.
Additional Comments: The kids had a lot of fun – we were lucky to not have any “sore losers”. The kids who were “out” had a lot of fun watching their friends playing.
